Yep, your crystal ball looks a bit pink and cloudy. lol!
Hello Mr. Gordon I have only been trading for about a year and I am not doing well. I have lost a large sum of money. I am having trouble understanding TA and all the moving averages, and indicators. I have been to many of your webinars and motivewave Wednesday’s. I am not very smart and have trouble learning on my own. I like the Fib tool you teach and would like very much to learn not only how to trade but why I am trading and would like to utilize the Fib tools. Is it possible to learn this on my own? Thank you very much.
Hi Todd,
I need a little clarification from a video of yours I watched. You made mention of selling a debit or credit spread depending on whether the IV was above or below a certain number/percent. I wrote it down somewhere and can’t find it..dangit. I also can’t remember which video I saw it in. May have been the ideal strike price class.
Anyway, was hoping you wouldn’t mind sharing that with me again?
Thanks so much…
Angeline
Hi Angeline,
You generally want to do credit spreads when the IV percentile is above 50% and do debit spreads when it’s below 50%. Keep in mind we’re not talking about the simple implied volatility reading, but the implied volatility percentile.
Let me know if you have further questions,
Todd.
