The ability to step out of self and be an observer of self is such a powerful asset to have on your side. I am with you brother and I hear you on your rant against yourself – I have done it so many times.
This stuff is so hard to master. People jump all over you when it does not work out yet they stand by your side when it does. What the masses don’t realize it that we are all looking for a leader, all looking for guidance – we are all looking to blame someone when it does not work.
Trading forces you to see the results of your decision making so quickly. You have no where to run. But when you learn to self sooth, self heal and allow the inner sage within you to come on out and be a true of observer of self it really helps you unload the pressure and let go of the need to be right even thou we default back to the cavemen mentally that has been programmed into our heads way before you , I and any of your listeners were even born.
You guys are doing a great job and I fell it is only people who truly have and are going there the trading journey/transformative really will ever understand what we go thru…
We left the jungle years ago but we still have that jungle mentality in our heads for life until the day we die. We trade are beliefs and we see our briefs and the thing is Elliot give to us a frame work to say “”ha I am wrong in MY reason for being in this position or that”
Mean stream life teaches and continually re enforces in us the need to always be wanting to be right, allows be a winner, we are never taught how to lose.
Trading teachings us how to loss and it can be brutal. But that is the price we must all pay to be a participant in the greatest game of them all- the markets. There is no better measure of mans social and economical progress or decay then the markets and RN Elliot is probably looking down on you from the heavens saying “Todd, flash crash Gordon- opportunity is around you everywhere – some of your best winners come in the form of the best losses” However I think That Elliot never got to trade but he gave us the most wonderful gift to work our analysis – market context of how mother nature unfolds- progress and decay.
