Stock indexes are certainly giving us some mixed messages here, so let’s not try to be hero and figure it out before they know what’s going to happen. We’re content to continue to collect theta while the market figures itself out. A few new positions to talk about as well.

You and I are in the same boat in terms of the “silence” during the trading day. When I moved from NJ to TX to be with my now wife, I left my friends and family behind, so now the only real interactions I have are with the neighbors and my online World of Warcraft gaming friends. Naturally, NONE of them trade during the day, so it’s just me and my girls with the “silence” (exceptions being the screaming/fighting -ha!) for years now. It’d be nice to have my wife home to also watch the kids and have talk to, but hates the markets and can’t stand being home all day (we tried it), so kudos to your wife. While I’m not new to the markets, I don’t know how much commentary I’ll be able to add as I’m new to trading options and Elliot, but I’m game. (I’ll apologize in advance for the servers humming and my girls fighting).
Michael, that’s compeltely awesome. I would love to hear your story coming from NJ to TX and how you’ve adapted. And I completely understand the silence with intermittent screams and fighting; they just can’t put enough layers in the ceilings and floors, right? Actually, I know they can, but I wouldn’t feel right soundproofing the office because I want to hear what’s happening upstairs with my family in this crazy ass world we live in. Possibly time for some surveillance monitors down here. I love your trading experience and also that you’re new to Elliott and options – a perfect opportunity for me to work with someone who knows the business but is new to our unique way of looking at the markets.
Servers?! What are you running in our office??
Hi Todd,
What would be your size for the XLY trade?
Thanks,
Dmitri
I did a 20 lot. Tier 4 trade for me.
Hi Todd,
Are you participating in the AAPL batterfly? It shows as “unfilled” in the Tradedesk and so does GLD.
Could you please clarify?
Thanks,
Sean
Hi Sean,
Updated – thanks for the heads-up.
Todd.
Morning Todd,
Can you update us on your thoughts with Bitcoin.
Thanks,
Steven
Sure Steven. I will cover it in tonight’s video.
What was the commission on the XLY trade? Schwab wants $80 for a 30lot.
Better than me – 30 lot would be $102.00 for me. $960 max loss and $2040 max profit so that’s within reason.
