Apologies for not putting out a video today. I did spend a rather late night in NYC after the CNBC stock draft with my buddy JC Parets and few industry friends blowing off some steam. Unfortunately neither of our earnings trades played out so you can let them expire. I’m watching these index triangles in amazement to see how tight they have become….. (more…)

Just a quick update here after CNBC to outline this coming moment of truth in the index triangles we’ve been tracking since January!
Markets fell today, but the lows of the triangle are approaching and will be the key to the direction in coming months. In the meantime, we are focusing on the index butterflies collecting that option decay.
What a fun week that was! NFLX was quite a ride, but the stock market weakness pulled NFLX lower and away from a pin for us. Markets are getting interesting again. Can’t wait for next week.
We have some center strikes of butterflies to watch closely in the next few days in NFLX and SPX. Staples were hammered today as bond yields began to move higher from wave 4 consolidation. Next trade there?
We tested the D-wave index resistance and we are showing evidence of failure. NFLX earnings trade is still going strong and we’re watching 3 new setups.
